Goal
Participants should gain an understanding of the purpose of the CMMI key process area Process and Product Quality Assurance (PPQA), and be familiarized with typical implementations of key requirements.

- Software Quality Assurance in the CMMI: definition of this key process area
- PPQA activities: process compliance reviews, work product audits, preventive actions, process planning, process consulting and coaching, PPQA planning, PPQA progress reporting
- PPQA reviews: review methods, checklists, non-compliance reporting, classification of deviations, escalation, customer involvement, subcontractor reviews
- Organization of PPQA: roles, hierarchical PPQA implementation, PPQA-related engineering activities, verification of PPQA activities
Participants
Software quality manager, software quality engineers, software engineers as prospective software quality engineers or software quality managers.
